How do I create a record?
Add a record from Home or Records, then choose the date and capture views. YAJI provides nine standard views—five intraoral and four facial—plus custom views of your own. Use the guides for rough alignment; after capture or import, you can reposition, zoom, and rotate the image.
How do I compare changes?
In Compare, choose the same capture view on two dates and switch between stacked, side-by-side, wipe, and overlay modes, with optional vertical, horizontal, or crosshair guides. Consistent device, lighting, distance, and background make changes easier to see, but the comparison is not a medical measurement.
How does angle measurement work?
Place three landmark points on a photo and YAJI computes the angle at the middle point, saving it on-device with the record date. The reference library only demonstrates where the points go for common profile angles such as facial convexity and nasolabial. YAJI publishes no normal ranges and does not judge whether a reading is abnormal; measurements are for personal records and conversation with your clinician.
How do I make a timelapse video?
Once one capture view has photos from at least two different dates, an entry point appears on Home. You can adjust how long each photo holds and whether frames cross-dissolve. The video is rendered on-device with the YAJI mark and a date that advances with the footage; saving it to Photos or sharing it is entirely your choice.
How do I make a visit-summary PDF?
Open Me > Visit Reports and choose a date range and views. The PDF is generated entirely on-device and is shared with a clinician or service only when you choose to share it.
Why did a reminder not appear?
Allow notifications for YAJI in system settings and confirm that the reminder time or appointment date is still in the future. Record reminders can repeat daily or weekly; once an appointment date is set, YAJI schedules reminders one week, three days, one day, and the day of the visit. All reminders are scheduled locally and are rescheduled automatically when you change the date.
Are photos added to my photo library automatically?
Not by default—photos stay in YAJI’s private app space. Turn on “Save to Photos automatically” under Me > Photos and each record’s photos are additionally copied into the “牙记 YAJI” album. Copies there carry the YAJI mark and the record date, and sync to iCloud Photos according to your system settings.
What differs between braces and aligner mode?
Capture, comparison, and reporting are identical in both modes; the difference is vocabulary. Braces mode offers bracket and archwire tags, aligner mode offers fit, attachment, and wear-time tags plus the current tray number, which is stored with the record and stamped on exported photos. Switching modes does not change any existing record.
How do I delete my data?
Delete an individual record from its detail view, or use Me > Data & Storage to permanently clear all records, photos, tags, notes, appointments, angle measurements, reports, and reminders. This requires a second confirmation and cannot be undone.
Is my data backed up automatically?
There is currently no complete cross-device sync. Photos and PDFs are excluded from app-data backup, while some structured data may enter a system device backup—so a restore can leave you with text records and no photos. Keep independent copies of important material.
Capture or export failed—what now?
Check camera or Photos permission, available storage, then restart the app and try again. When contacting support, include your iPhone model, iOS and YAJI versions, steps, and exact error. Do not send sensitive health images unless necessary.
Medical emergencies
YAJI cannot provide emergency medical assistance. If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, severe bleeding, significant swelling, trauma, or severe persistent pain, contact local emergency services or your clinician immediately.
